Dear Gamer started YouTube with the mindset of wanting to create something out of nothing. He wanted an outlet for his creativity, and with the thought that he wanted to connect with people with a similar mindset, he started his YouTube career, wishing to meet more viewers who would watch him play games who have the same taste as him. To him, he considers his follower base as family, naming them as the Smooth Fam or Smooth Family.
