This soap artisan technique is done by using a method of pouring fluid paint through a strain or vice versa. The result resembles a kaleidoscope or a geometric pattern, usually emanating concentrically.

Teri bought her own mold to fit the screen she found. It was from a bubble-making machine and a make-shift rubber tube that fit the mold she bought. There are a lot of possible filters to use with this technique, and sometimes, the ingenuity matters more than the tools you have. This is a good thing to keep in mind in soap making, as Teri shows.

Watch Teri’s video to get the general idea of how to pull off the pull-through technique.
