The Rubix Cube Solving Machine

mins

Solving a Rubik’s cube is a fun pastime, but for the competitive soul it may be irritating to be unable to finish the puzzle. Sirgabealot is one such soul. That is why he made a rube goldberg machine specifically tasked with completing his Rubik’s cube.

In this setup, Sirgabealot focused on the chain reaction aspect of rube goldberg machines. His attempt at making a more “traditional” reaction machine was crammed into a table with almost no space unused with about 120 step reactions.

He explained that he was inclined to “try a new style and make this simpler project with more foreign objects and fewer tricks”. Quite an unusual notion for simple, seeing as how this was originally an attempt to beat the 500-step world record.

We at anySprout aren’t Rubik’s cube wizards, nor are we machine maniacs but Sirgabealot’s machines have a uniqueness that brings out the marvel from the mundane. But don’t take our word for it, see for yourself!

SPOILER: If you really want to skip to the complete solution of the puzzle go to 3:14.
