Moon Cat Silhouette Soap Making

This video is a tutorial on how to use the inlaid technique to make a soap with a silhouette of a cat against the backdrop of the moon.

The inlaid designing technique was pioneered by Carmen Iclodean of Earth’s Raw Beauty. Holly from Kapia Mera tries her hand at the intricate soapwork in this 7-minute tutorial.

Ingredients used.

• Olive Oil (35%)
• Coconut Oil (23%)
• Lard (30%)
• Avocado Oil (6%)
• Castor Oil (6%)
• Superfat (6%)
• Sodium Hydroxide - use a soap calculator to calculate the amount of sodium hydroxide required.
• Water = 2 x Sodium Hydroxide (33% lye solution)
• Essential Oil Blend:
• Lavender - 2 parts
• Bergamot - 1.5 parts
• Patchouli - 0.5 parts
