And what’s a better way to start your journey to healthy cooking than with your own pot roast? It’s simple, it’s easy, doesn’t have an overwhelming amount of ingredients, and it’s lenient on mistakes. Also, once you get a little more confident, it’s versatile enough that you can add your own favorite ingredients, or modifications. Maybe add some corn in there next time, or serve on top of mashed potatoes. Of course, Rachel has her own favorite way of eating this, as well. With her own homemade creamy horseradish sauce!

Feast and Farm’s Creamy Horseradish Sauce
  • 1 cup mayonnaise (not Miracle Whip)
  • 2 Tablespoons prepared horseradish (or to taste)

Mix them up and serve with your dutch oven pot roast.

Ingredient list
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable or olive oil
  • 1/2 red onion sliced
  • 2 pound chuck roast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 3 large russet potatoes peeled and sliced into 1-inch wedges
  • 5 large carrots peeled and sliced into 1-inch thick pieces
Where do I get these?

Most of these ingredients can be found in almost all groceries.

What others are saying.
