Nestled in the mountain ranges of Northern Vietnam is Ba Bể Lake, the largest natural lake in Vietnam. As a biodiversity reservoir, Ba Bể Lake has a vast variety of flora and fauna, as well as rivers, waterfalls, and caves. Legend tells us that Ba Bể Lake was once a village that became submerged due to rainfall. An allegory about the force and unpredictability of nature. Due to their proximity to the lake, the local diet consists largely of freshwater fish and vegetation native to the area.
Picturesque landscapes, pristine waters, overhanging vegetation, and gorgeous mountain ranges, we believe that atmosphere is just as important as taste when it comes to food. With such a serene and peaceful setting, cooking doesn't need to be complicated, as Vuong Anh settles for a simple grilled fish complimented with ingredients local to the area.
As if on cue, rain falls. Vuong Anh surrenders herself to Nature as the rain grows stronger, reminiscent of the old legends of the lake. A small price to pay for flavors that Nature has to offer.
I have been watching Vietnamese cooking shows on youtube for a long time and this has got to be one of the most beautiful, well directed videos. Phong cảnh thần tiên! Well done!
